I have been a Member of The Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB/ Atlanta.net) since I moved to Atlanta, It has been a invaluable group of members, sponsors and organizers for different events, venues and vendors. This was their first connect event which is held many times a year to connect, share experiences, get some bites and a beer with fellow associates from different areas of the industry!
of course these events would not be possible without some volunteers and sponsors!
This event was held at the Center for Puppetry Arts, who just finished a full renovation. As you can see, their event space goes far beyond just children's parties! Some additional key features to note about this venue is they have Free Parking!!! (I've only been in the Atlanta area for about 3 years and know that that's unheard of for any Midtown venue.)
After a few meet & greets, eats, and drinks, there were a few words from the sponsors, a few door prizes, and gifts from other vendors!
Time to Enter their Museum Floor!!!!! The Museum is knows for it's Iconic Jim Henson Collection!
"This interactive exhibition follows Henson’s prolific imagination chronologically, transporting visitors through environments that
typified themaster puppeteer’s world such as Jim’s Office and the Television Studio."
Besides the Extensive Jim Henson Collection, The Center For puppetry Arts Hosts some Collections and Interactive exhibits from all over the world.
For me to say that this museum left me with the sense of Nostalgia would be an understatement!
