Last week we Partnered with DTLR and had our photo booth at the V103 Car and Bike Show At the Georgia world congress center (GWCC.)
Whenever we get hired for one of these large conventions it's hard to guess what we are in for, with a crowd of 30,000 people I didn't know what I was in for.
when I got there and started setting up, I noticed nearly half the vendor booths had some kind of Photo booth! Insurance companies, radio stations, car clubs, etc. I knew photo booths were popular, but DAAAAAANG, I didn't know it was like that. anyhow as the day went on, I kept seeing the same people coming back to the booth, and bringing their friends. I had to ask, with so many booths why do you keep coming back? and all they kept saying was the quality of the photo was a lot better. which make's me happy.

That was kinda surprising, I had to take a look, I will admit, there where some pretty cool concepts out there, there where a few that used the green screen technology to make you look like you were on a motorcycle, or in a cool convertible, but you can quickly see the quality of the camera used for the car photo and the camera used for the people at the photo booth was not the same, totally making it look photo imposed. I understand there are a lot of companies out there that build a cookie cutter photo booth with a neat lil box that houses a computer, web cam and LED Light, Sometimes a fancy touch screen where you just touch a button takes a couple photos and then shoots out a photo strip. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking them, it's a cool lil box, But as a professional photographer I have standers to uphold.
Since I personally built our photo booths from the ground up, using studio Lighting, Professional grade cameras, and all our photo booths are ran by professional photographers, we provide some posing assistance to help create that perfect photo. we then print them out on the same printers used at your local photo printer with a laminate over your photo so it will not smudge smear or scratch the print, not even if it gets wet, and is rated to last 100 years!
after being in the Atlanta Market for 3 years, I know there are cheaper options out there, I am a strong believer in providing a quality service. Having heard it time and time again the saying is true "you get what you pay for." after market research I feel we are competitively priced for the quality product and service we provide.
